Acceptable Use Policy
Company details: Legal entity name, company number, registered office, VAT number, and ICO registration (if applicable) are configured by administrators and shown when available. Until configured, treat references to the controller identity as incomplete placeholders — not invented registrations.
1. Purpose
This AUP sets rules for using Rackstead Services and works with our Terms. Violations may result in warning, temporary restriction, suspension, termination, evidence preservation, and cooperation with lawful requests.
2. Prohibited activities
You must not use the Services for:
- Malware, ransomware, trojans, or exploit kits
- Phishing, credential theft, or social engineering infrastructure
- Botnets or command-and-control
- DDoS attacks or knowingly participating in attacks against third parties
- Unauthorised port scanning or intrusion attempts against systems you do not own or lack permission to test
- Spam or bulk unsolicited messaging
- Fraud, carding, or financial crime facilitation
- Illegal content or activity under applicable law
- Copyright or IP infringement
- Child sexual abuse material (zero tolerance)
- Terrorist content or activity
- Cryptocurrency mining where prohibited by your plan or causing resource/IP reputation abuse
- Open proxies/relays used to abuse third parties
- Attempts to disrupt Rackstead infrastructure, IPAM, or other customers
3. Resource and network abuse
Excessive consumption that degrades shared infrastructure, IP reputation abuse (including blacklist-causing outbound abuse), and circumvention of plan limits are prohibited.
4. Reporting
Report abuse via /abuse or the abuse email in Company Details. Include evidence, affected IPs/domains, timestamps, and contact details.
5. Enforcement
We aim to act proportionately: warning → restriction → suspension → termination, except where severe harm, legal risk, or active attacks require faster action. We may preserve logs and cooperate with lawful requests.
