FAQ
- Are resources dedicated?
- Plans list vCPU, RAM and NVMe allocated to your instance. Performance depends on the host node and current capacity — we do not invent utilization numbers.
- How does provisioning work?
- Orders create a Service and ProvisioningJob on the Rackstead control plane. A connected node agent runs libvirt jobs. Without an online node, deploy stays pending — we never fake a successful provision.
- What about backups and rescue mode?
- Automated off-host backups and rescue boot are Coming Soon until external storage and agent jobs ship. Power controls (start/stop/reboot) work when a node agent is online.
- Can I reinstall the OS?
- Yes — when a node agent is online. Reinstall requires typing the server name, wipes the disk via libvirt, and only returns to Running after the agent acknowledges success. Guest cloud-init password injection is still Coming Soon.
