1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets rules for using Rackstead Hosting Services. It works together with our Terms of Service. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or termination.
2. Prohibited activities
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate applicable law or third-party rights
- Distribute malware, ransomware, or phishing content
- Operate unauthorized scanning, brute-force attacks, or denial-of-service activity
- Send unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operate open relays
- Host or distribute child sexual abuse material, or content that exploits minors
- Engage in fraud, identity theft, or payment abuse
- Mine cryptocurrency on shared or VPS plans unless explicitly permitted in writing
- Interfere with other customers’ use of the platform or our infrastructure
3. Resource fairness
You must not consume resources in a way that degrades the platform for others. We may throttle, relocate, or suspend workloads that threaten stability or network reputation.
4. Network and IP reputation
IP addresses allocated to you remain under Rackstead control. You must not use them for abusive traffic. We may null-route or reclaim addresses involved in confirmed abuse.
5. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse through the control panel support channel. Include timestamps, source IPs, and relevant logs where possible. Our response process will be published with [Company details placeholder] contact addresses.
6. Enforcement
We investigate reports in good faith. Emergency suspension may occur without prior notice when required to protect the network, other customers, or comply with law.
